The Waterfront - Head down to our waterfront and enjoy! Bring a bottle of wine, build a campfire and grab a few oysters off the beach to savor! Oyster shucking station available. If you want to get out on the water, kayaks are available free of charge!
Swingwood Forest - Nestled along the creek in the back of our property is Swingwood Forest. Our single track hiking paths meander along the creek among old growth Cedar trees. If you look close you will find a few unique swings to enjoy!
Kayak! Free kayaks are available to our guests on our waterfront. Paddle out a hundred yards for views of the majestic Olympic Mountains and Alderbrook Resort. Don't be alarmed if a seal surfaces to say, "Hello!"

Hiking - Cross over the creek and take a right on the trail to the Union Square Deli for your morning coffee or a bite to eat. Just past the historic Dalby Waterwheel is the trail head for a true Olympic Peninsula hiking experience. Cross the creek into a canopy of 300 year old trees and breathtaking views.
Oyster Picking - Low tide is every 6 hours and is a great time to walk out on our beach to grab a few Oysters. Shuck and eat them on the beach or take them back to your cottage to prepare with one of your own recipes.
Relax! If you weren't able to make a reservation for a cottage with a hot tub, don't worry, we have several swings and chairs located on the grounds. Sip on a glass of wine and enjoy the beauty of nature. Relax in the hammock or grab some firewood behind the pub to take advantage of the creekside or waterfront fire-pit areas.
Hunter Farms - This is a unique 4 generation working farm that is a great stop for adults and kids alike. Stop in and see the animals in the barn or walk through the greenhouses. The road side farmers market is open year around 9am - 5:30pm 7 days a week. Located only 4 miles south of the resort towards Hwy 101. 360-898-2222
Vincent Creek Falls (The High Steel Bridge)
Walk over the steel bridge and peer down 420 feet into the narrow, deep canyon of the South Fork of the Skokomish River. Look NW to see Vincent Falls plummeting 125 feet into the river! Directions - From Hwy 101 North of Shelton, take the Skokomish Valley road for five miles to RS Road #23. Go 2.4 miles to FS Road #2340 and follow it for another 2.4 miles
Rocky Brook Falls - One of the larger and more frequently visited falls on the Hood Canal. It is an easy hundred yard walk from the road to the falls. Directions - From Hwy 101 just North of Brinnon, travel West on Dosewallips Road for 3 miles. After crossing the Rocky Brook Bridge, park on the left side in the small turnout.
Olympic National Forest - People travel from around the world to hike the trails of Olympic National Park! A few of our favorite destinations are Staircase Rapids (40 min), Hurricane Ridge (60 min), Upper Lena Lake (50 min), Lower Lena Lake (40 min), Hamma Hamma River (40 min) and Mt. Ellinor (50 min).
Twanoh State Park - Boasting over 3,000 feet of saltwater shoreline, the park is situated on one of the warmest saltwater beaches in the state. Wading, swimming, oyster and crab harvesting are immensely popular here. Directions - 10 min. North on 106 toward Belfair.

Hoodsport Winery - This award winning winery is a short 15 minute drive up Hwy 101. Stop in for a wine tasting and enjoy the local selection.
Hamma Hamma Oyster Company - Just north of Lilliwaup on Hwy 101 lies this beautiful working shellfish farm! Enjoy their award winning waterfront oyster bar. Fresh seafood is also available for purchase to bring back to your cottage to prepare as you wish!
